I had the pleasure of working together with Ayhan for over two and a half years from the time I joined the team at the DYE designed Lykia Links in April 2011, working on one of the first 100% true links courses directly on the Mediterranean Sea with salt resistant Paspalum grass, From the outset he continuously displayed and shared his broad spectrum of knowledge, experience and skills together with his energy and enthusiasm for the Links, the golf industry and our team. Under Gary’s tenure as Director of Golf, Lykia Links achieved in 2012 for the first time, Turkey’s Number 1 golf course [Top 100 Golf Courses], Number 22 Continental Europe [Top 100 Golf Courses], Number 52 Continental Europe [By Golf World] and Number 98 World Outside USA [By Golf World] with annual green fees of over 30,000 rounds per year. During the Hotelier operator transition to Club Med, Ayhan and his team constructed a full Club Med golf academy catering for 170 Lessons per hour with chipping and putting course, swing studio etc. entirely with in house resources. Ayhan is a fantastic team player who is enormously hardworking and committed; always willing to put the demanding hours in to get the results. He is extremely reliable and trustworthy, and I would have no hesitation recommending Ayhan to any club seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Director of Golf.

I have known Ayhan for probably seven years and worked with him as in independent consultant for the last 3 years, on various projects and companies he has been and still is involved with. I regard Ayhan as a unique, strong personality whose character is perfect for reporting openly and succinctly to the colleagues he works for, with and under him. He is able to bridge the gap between all levels of an organisation developing good team work and commitment, which will deliver the best experience to the customer. I worked with Ayhan for a long time. He has always set a good example to his co-workers and subordinates by his work ethics and his knowledge of the golf.
